The spiritual mission: Jesus was going through towns and villages, telling the good news about God's kingdom. Luke 8:1
Jesus after announcing the beatitudes in the Sermon on the Mount, began with the teaching of the parables, the Bible tells us that Jesus walked from town to town preaching the word of wisdom followed by a curious crowd who wanted to hear this new doctrine preached by the master: "Jesus was going through towns and villages, telling the good news about God's kingdom" Luke 8:1. Jesus was accompanied also by his disciples and some women that he had cured of evil spirits and diseases. Jesus in his first parable compares the Kingdom of Heaven with a sower who went out to sow his seed, many are confused by the teachings about the Kingdom of Heaven and do not understand the meaning of the stories that Jesus tells, the spiritual mission becomes almost impossible for Jesus.
The problem of oppression, which was not only something political but also educational and cultural, made itself felt through the tricks of the doctors of the law who imposed heavy burdens on the people: "Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering" Luke 11:52; and Jesus wanted to change the desperate situation, that is, the lack of hope in a better future, to the simple and common people.
Cruelty and enmity with others is not something natural in human beings, nor is it something to get used to. The Kingdom of God opposes oppression, despair, ignorance, and lies, but Jesus explains to us that this Kingdom does not become evident with spectacular acts, but with the small decisions of every day, the Kingdom of Heavens is assertiveness, improvement, completeness, wisdom, constancy, benevolence and friendship with God: "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect" Matthew 5:48, "Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful" Luke 6:36, "Be holy, because I am holy" 1 Peter 1:16
