The teachings of Jesus: Upon these two commandments hang the whole Law and the Prophets, Matthew 22:40

Jesus is not only the "son of man", but he is also a teacher or doctor of wisdom. As teacher of the science of God, Jesus gives us one of his greatest teachings on how human beings should live, the love of charity, the love projected to the whole creation of God, makes us friends of God and our neighbor: "One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: ´Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?´ Jesus replied: ´´Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.´ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ´Love your neighbor as yourself.´ Upon these two commandments hang the whole Law and the Prophets´" Matthew 22:35-40.
All the Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets are summarized in these two commandments Jesus explains to us, in other words, he who loves his neighbor is free from the obligation of the law. The law of Moses is actually to show us where the sin is, but Jesus goes beyond this, knowing what sin is, is not enough to do what is right, charity among other things gives us the spiritual discernment necessary to differentiate between good and evil. Agape love is defining us, as Jesus explains, all the spiritual perfection of man: "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect" Matthew 5:48.
But this love is a supernatural gift, a charism, born from the maturity of the fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, stability), this is explained by Peter in the Acts of the Apostles: "Then Peter began to speak: ´I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right" Acts 10:34-35.
If we do not live the fear of God, the Lord cannot give us his spiritual perfection: "God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit", Romans 5:5. Jesus with the commandment of love teaches us the path to spiritual salvation.
