Bible Devotion: Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. 1 Chronicles 29:12

Bible devotion: Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. 1 Chronicles 29:12 Bible devotion: Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. 1 Chronicles 29:12

King David entrusts his son with the construction of the first temple in Jerusalem, and before his coronation, David gives with devotion a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord for the fulfillment of his pact with men, from God come all the good things, and all the perfections of the creation David says, corresponds to the sensible man the worship of God:
"Praise be to you, LORD,
the God of our father Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting.
Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, LORD, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all.
Wealth and honor come from you;
you are the rule of all things.
In your hands are strength and power
to exalt and give strength to all.
Now, our God, we give you thanks,
and praise your glorious name" 1 Chronicles 29:10-13
God enriches those whom the Lord wants to bless, King David teaches us in his prayer in the Bible. Those who fear God and live righteously inherit the land explains the Bible, that is inherit the secure life: "But the meek shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace" Psalm 37:11. The fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion) spiritually blesses men because this gift establishes a bond of love with the wisdom of God.
David continues and requests God for a renewed heart towards charity, so that men fulfill the covenant and Israel would be blessed with prosperity: "Lord, the God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Israel, keep these desires and thoughts in the hearts of your people forever, and keep their hearts loyal to you" 1 Chronicles 29:18.
The actions of King David and his son Solomon show us that the nations who do not seek wisdom from the heart through the fear of God cannot grow, prosper, or bear good fruit; it falls to leaders to set an example and establish spiritual leadership, a well-guided people is a people that achieve the common good.
